Solutions Engineering

by Matt Manning • Mar 2026

I've never been a fan of using the word "solutions" to describe software. In fact, I gave a speech in 1997 where I mused upon the day when "shoes" would be called "foot protection solutions". That said, it must be conceded that "code" and "software" are not inherently intuitive descriptors of the digital tools people create either. And with this concession Information Evolution is proud to announce its "Solutions Engineering Group".

This team is comprised of our most seasoned software developers, data operations managers, and process design engineers. They are responsible for the company's R&D projects and included in their remit will be:

  • The continuous improvement of our core change detection engine (Cronus), which is the key to delivering real-time data accuracy and legally defensible data provenance.

  • The refinement of a suite of utilities that handle critical sub-tasks like email appends, taxonomy assignment, and data disambiguation.

  • The development of new tools that harness AI to, for instance, create org charts based on relationship mapping, semantic analysis, job function authority files, and popularity metadata.

All these services are being built, interconnected, and refined to be "better, faster, cheaper" for one reason: you. Yes you, the Data Ops pro with budgets, delivery schedules, and a vision for the digital future in your industry that requires reliable partners who are not content to rest on their track records. If you are as eager to build the future of work as we are, reach out to us and experience our commitment to relentless data-driven innovation.
